Have You Seen That Movie?
Back in January I was in New Zealand presenting two goal setting workshops. While there I had a whole bunch of people say, "have you seen the movie The World's Fastest Indian?" I had to admit that I hadn't and proceed to ask if I was some kind of Bollywood film about runners in India? They said no it's the story of Kiwi man (played by Anthony Hopkins) that defines all odds breaking a land speed record by riding is Indian motor cycle.
Four months later the film finally made it to Australia, so went along with my wife and some close friends to watch it. As was promised the story was amazing and it really proved that, "If the dream is big enough, then the facts don't count".
Well I am back in New Zealand right now, and was fortune enough to be asked to speak at an event for Network 21 in Invercargill - the place where the movie is set. If you are wondering where Invercargill is, it's at the southern most tip of New Zealand and has a population of 40,000 people.
Thanks to our very helpful hosts today my wife and I got to go to the block for land where the movie was made and also see the actually real life "Indian", which is today on display - at the local hardware shop. Here are a couple of pics, and if you haven't seen the movie, do yourself a favour and watch it!
